What data we process and why
Visiting the website. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type. It is used to display the website and protect it from abuse.
Requesting the free analysis. Through the form you give us your firm’s website and your email. You can optionally add your firm’s name, the service and location to check, and any further details in the message. We use them to prepare the analysis, send it to you and answer your request.
To prepare the analysis we ask AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity) questions that contain the firm's name and location. We do not pass on your email address or your message.
Email and phone. If you write to us or call us, we process the information you give us in order to reply.
We do not sell data, use it for third-party advertising or build profiles.
Who we share data with
- Netlify, Inc., United States: website hosting and form handling.
- Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland: email.
- Google (Gmail), United States: receiving and managing messages forwarded from the Citato mailbox.
- OpenAI, Google and Perplexity, United States: only the firm's name and location, for the analysis.
Transfers abroad
Netlify is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Since 15 September 2024 the Swiss Federal Council has recognised certified US companies as providing adequate data protection.
We give AI assistants only data that the firm has made publicly available, and only in direct connection with the service you asked for (Art. 17(1)(b)(1) and (e) FADP).
How long we keep data
Requests that lead nowhere are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact. If a contract follows, we keep business correspondence and accounting records for 10 years, as required by Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations. Technical access data is kept by the hosting provider for a limited period.
